About
Oasis Vocal Jazz
Oasis Vocal Jazz, Toronto's longest running close harmony ensemble, has been making a unique contribution to the city's artistic life since 1985.

Influenced by pioneers Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, and inspired by modern day masters of the genre such as New York Voices, Take 6, and Toronto's own Cadence, we enjoy sharing our love of vocal jazz with a wide range of audiences. Whether performing in community or corporate events, charitable fundraisers, or putting on our own concert backed by some of the city's top jazz instrumentalists, we have always valued both the pursuit of musical excellence and the joy of making music with each other. We hope that this passion for vocal jazz and commitment to friendship is reflected in our singing.

Where Oasis Performs
In addition to concerts in downtown Toronto, Oasis Vocal Jazz can be found:
- at ARTSweek and other cultural festivals
- doing charity and benefit shows
- in community events, such as Lesbian and Gay Pride Day
- as guest artists at the concerts of other performers

What happens to concert revenues
Individually we do not get paid for being in Oasis. After taking care of concert costs, we use any surplus funds to buy music or otherwise enhance our audience's experience.
Scheduling Oasis for special events
If you'd like to ask Oasis to perform at a charity function, ceremony, memorial or corporate event, or if your high school/college vocal jazz group wants to sing along with us on an "open" rehearsal night, please send us a booking and general inquiry on our connect with us page.
